Project Officer Opportunity

NACCHO represents 146 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) delivering community-led care to over half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population.

We are seeking a passionate Project Officer to join our Immunisation Team, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to drive positive change and improve health outcomes for Indigenous Australians.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects, managing relationships with stakeholders, and contributing to the development of effective strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate projects and activities related to immunisation and public health;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, community leaders, and government agencies;
  • Contribute to the development of effective strategies and initiatives that improve health outcomes for Indigenous Australians;
  • Provide administrative support to the Immunisation Team and other departments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as public health, health promotion, or a related discipline;
  • Proven experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and team collaboration;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
