Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Day One Early Learning Centres. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement activities and programs for children that cater to their developmental needs
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for children and families, promoting a sense of community and belonging
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering open communication and collaboration
- Observe and document children's learning and development, identifying areas for growth and support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of children and staff
- Support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment
- Provide feedback and support to families as needed, promoting a collaborative approach to child development
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Working with Children Check
- Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations, with a passion for working with children and families
