Early Childhood Educator

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Certificate III Educator to join our team at Day One Early Learning Centres. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Implement Developmentally Appropriate Activities: Design and deliver engaging and educational programs for children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are met.
- Create a Safe and Welcoming Environment: Establish a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children, families, and colleagues, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
- Build Positive Relationships: Foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring open communication and mutual respect.
- Observe and Document Children's Learning: Monitor and record children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and informing teaching practices.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress, including observations, assessments, and reports.
- Participate in Team Meetings and Professional Development: Engage in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
- Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Comply with all relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Working with Children Check
- Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
- Passion for working with children and families
