Key Business Development Role

The role of Business Development Manager is pivotal in driving business growth within the Defence sector.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for pioneering business development initiatives and activities to achieve strategic objectives.

This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in business development, preferably in Defence or Defence-related fields.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to establish effective relationships at different levels internally and externally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing business development strategies to drive growth in Defence infrastructure programs.
  • Liaising with bid teams to ensure deadlines are met and opportunities progressed to submission with high probability of success.
  • Preparing business professionals and support contract negotiations for allocated key captures when down-selected.
  • Building a well-defined and qualified pipeline of opportunities aligned with the Defence strategy.
  • Managing opportunities from initial identification, strategy development, and pursuit management through to tender preparation and contract negotiation.

The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in an engineering or related discipline. They will also possess highly developed communication skills, strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to establish effective relationships at different levels internally and externally.
