Job Opportunity

This is a key role supporting stores and workshop operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant Manager and wider team to ensure inventory accuracy, production efficiency, and high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, and check parts for steel water tanks.
  • Load and unload trucks safely in accordance with company procedures.
  • Receive and unpack goods, verify against delivery dockets and purchase orders.
  • Maintain organisation and accuracy of stores area and inventory.
  • Undertake stock take and cycle counts as required.
  • Operate steel processing machinery including: Steel bandsaw and Hydraulic ironworker.
  • Assist in minor fabrication work as directed.
  • Perform pre-start and safety checks on machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the workshop environment.
  • Liaise with the Plant Manager to prioritise daily tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff to support efficient production flow. Represent the company professionally with delivery drivers and visitors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or workshop environment.
  • Forklift license.
  • Competence in operating workshop machinery (e.g. bandsaw, ironworker) or willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and inventory.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and conduct equipment checks.
  • A team player with clear and confident communication skills. Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks.
