Merchandising and Sales Opportunity

This role involves maintaining the appearance and organization of merchandise in a warehouse. As a team member, you will work closely with the sales floor team to ensure that products are displayed in an attractive and easy-to-shop manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock and arrange merchandise for sale in the warehouse
  • Construct and modify display models
  • Clean and clear aisles of empty pallets and debris
  • Provide excellent customer service to members, employees, and suppliers
Major Merchandise Selling Responsibilities
  • Sell merchandise in various sections of the warehouse
  • Answer questions, demonstrate features, and explain products
  • Set up, clean, and maintain displays
  • Manage department merchandise stock levels
Forklift Driver Obligations
  • Operate a stand-up electric forklift/electric pallet jack on the sales floor
  • Stack merchandise onto full pallets and secure with plastic wrap
  • Ensure pallets meet Costco standards
Supervisory Duties
  • Assist Area Manager in managing area staff, stocking area, following procedures, and maintaining floor standards
  • Deliver high-quality member service
  • Answer member queries, demonstrate, and sell merchandise
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Adhere to merchandising standards and practices
  • Communicate with supervisors and managers regarding merchandising plans and priorities
  • Prepare lists of merchandise for retrieval by forklift drivers
  • Arrange merchandise, collect stray items, and stock shelves to maintain high product levels
