Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at WorkFocus Australia. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals to return to work and maintain their independence.

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective rehabilitation plans that cater to the unique needs of each individual.

You will work closely with clients, families, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and other stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. Your expertise will be invaluable in identifying barriers and designing, implementing, and monitoring programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments relevant to your discipline to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans.
  • Design and implement intervention programs using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity.
  • Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Australian recognised degree qualification in Exercise Physiology and ESSA accreditation.
  • A willingness to learn and impact positively on people's lives in tangible ways.
  • The ability to engage clients and stakeholders in the wellness and work journey.
  • A commitment to a high level of customer service to your clients and customers.
  • A valid driver's license and access to own vehicle (for community-based work).
  • A current or able to obtain Working with Children Check and Police Clearance.
