**What you'll be doing**

This position provides management, leadership, guidance and supervision of the Specialist Youth Mental Health Services Illawarra Shoalhaven. These services include Adolescent Inpatient Unit & Adolescent Day Unit (AIPU) located at Shellharbour Hospital, Child, Adolescent and Youth Mental Health Service (CAYMHS) Illawarra and Shoalhaven, comprising Eating Disorders Service, COPMI, School Link, GOT-IT, Peri-natal Mental Health Services, the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS), Community Team Inpatient Unit and the Whole of Family Team (WFT).

In conjunction with the Director of Mental Health Services and Operations Manager Illawarra this position is responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of services, systems and policies that support the delivery and coordination of recovery focused care for the older persons and young people with Mental Health issues, including those with complex and multiple needs. This position provides leadership, guidance, supervision and management of the both Community and Inpatient Teams.

**Talent Pool**

This role is a **Category A **role. Preferred applicants will be reviewed for compliance and required to maintain compliance with the screening, assessment and vaccination requirements, relevant to your position, as outlined in NSW Health policy directive on Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases.

For positions designated as child-related employment, or positions that may result in proximity to children, you will be required to obtain a Working with Children clearance number from the Office of the Children’s Guardian.

Please note that a volunteer WWCC (which is free) cannot be used for paid employment.

**Selection Criteria**
- Holds relevant tertiary qualifications, working towards or demonstrated relevant management experience in Mental Health Services.
- Demonstrated highly developed and effective management skills, including the proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated highly developed and effective negotiation and delegation skills.
- Proven ability in planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of Service provision.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, monitor and achieve optimal financial, workplace safety and quality improvement outcomes.
- Unrestricted Class C Driver's Licence.
