Job Title:

Water Planning Engineer (Junior-Level)

About the Role

This position involves assisting senior engineers in delivering planning, feasibility and strategy studies and concept design for water, wastewater and recycled water engineering projects.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting hydraulic modeling of water supply and wastewater systems
  • Performing GIS analysis, cost estimation and report preparation
  • Carrying out field inspection and condition assessment of water supply, wastewater and stormwater assets
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to contribute to process engineering, design and asset management projects
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Recently completed a civil or environmental engineering or related discipline degree
  • Knowledge and interest in water and wastewater network planning
  • A commitment to learn and expand your knowledge of the water industry
  • Sound reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft packages including Excel and Word
