Maintenance Coordinator Job Description

About our role:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of mechanical maintenance resources at our South Brisbane site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Direct responsibility for supervision of all Lactalis trades employees and contractors, including rostering, timesheets, performance management, and training.
  • Maintenance Operations: Ensure completion of planned and unplanned works to ensure reliable operation of all areas of the factory, minimizing plant downtime.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and oversight of day-to-day maintenance operations to ensure timely and accurate maintenance response.
  • Budget Management: Ensure maintenance activities are carried out within the allocated maintenance budget.
  • Inventory Management: Ordering and monitoring adequate stock of mechanical spares to meet reasonable requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively focus on improving Safety, Quality, and Efficiency by participating in site project work.

About you:

  • You should have a trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Industrial Electrician.
  • Extensive experience in engineering maintenance, preferably in the Dairy, FMCG industry, and exposure to automation is highly regarded.
  • Proficient computer skills, including exposure to SAP, Microsoft Office, and Safety systems.
