About the Role

Risk management is a core aspect of any successful organization, and at our institution, we are committed to fostering a positive risk culture that upholds strong standards and maintains effective governance.

As a Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and supporting our risk management and compliance processes, ensuring alignment with our Risk Management Strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of risk management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with senior leaders, provide advice to decision-makers, and interact with staff at all levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing our Risk Management Policy and Framework
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to identify, assess, and prioritize risks, and support mitigation strategies and Risk Action Plans
  • Providing risk-related advice to staff, reviewing risk assessments for organizational activities, and assisting in policy development and review
  • Supporting the Senior Leader with Critical Incident Management Plan and insurance matters
  • Advising on statutory and internal compliance requirements, managing government reporting tasks, and maintaining our Contracts Register
  • Overseeing Occupational Health & Safety systems, reporting, audits, and liaising with relevant authorities to ensure compliance and safety
  • Delivering regular reports to leadership bodies, training staff on risk systems and responsibilities, and preparing external reports and budgets related to risk and compliance
