Strategic Risk Management Specialist

This is a crucial role in shaping the organisation's HSEQ culture and performance.
As an experienced Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) professional, you will play a pivotal part in supporting operational areas across Victoria and Tasmania as a trusted business partner.
You will actively manage risk and continually improve how we work, with a strong people-focused approach.
- Provide high-level HSEQ specialist advice and support to operational areas.
- Influence, lead, and support operational areas to enhance HSEQ culture and behaviours.
- Deliver ongoing continuous improvement in HSEQ culture and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting operational areas in investigating incidents.
- Facilitating and leading risk register activities within operational areas.
- Completing assurance activities, induction, training, and other HSEQ activities as required.
- Supporting projects related to maintaining ISO45001 and ISO9001 certification.
We are seeking a dedicated safety professional with a high-risk background who has experience working in a blue-collar environment.
Key qualifications and attributes include:
- Tertiary qualifications in HSEQ or a related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in a HSEQ role in a similar industry and risk profile.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering practical, effective, and risk-based HSEQ solutions in an operational environment.
