**About the Role**

The South Australian State Emergency Service is a highly trained, responsive and effective emergency service agency with a key role in ensuring the safety of all South Australians.

This position plays a vital part in our operations, supporting us to deliver exceptional service to the community.

We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our team, providing administrative support and undertaking basic research to achieve outcomes for projects and other tasks.

You will be responsible for coordinating logistics for meetings, training and other events, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience, working closely with our team to ensure the successful delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the team, including preparing documents, managing correspondence and maintaining records.
  • Undertake basic research to achieve outcomes for projects and other tasks, using initiative and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, training and other events, ensuring smooth execution and timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, using strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in administration and reception roles, with a strong focus on customer service and organisational support.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work under limited supervision and use initiative to prioritise work to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
