The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working part-time. Our department is responsible for providing advanced policy analysis and strategic advice in relation to SA Health's intergovernment agreements and other intergovernment policy issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a Principal Policy Officer to contribute to the negotiation of policy and associated financial arrangements with the Commonwealth under the National Health Reform Agreement renegotiation.
  • You will provide guidance in the development of health reform policies and strategies which support the Health Strategy and Intergovernment work program and furthers strategic and policy priorities for our department.
  • Your expertise will be invaluable in advising on key issues in the public hospital interface with aged care, primary care, and disability.

As a Principal Policy Officer, you will effectively impact on the deployment of resources by our department, contributing to the health and wellbeing of the community and achievement of sustainable, quality community living standards.

The salary range for this position is $108,109 to $116,864 (ASO7), offering a competitive package for the right candidate. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
