We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Shaft Sinking Team in New South Wales.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the planning and execution of repairs and maintenance of mechanical equipment on site.

This is a unique opportunity to work on custom built shaft sinking equipment and contribute to the development of a one of a kind project in the Australian Mining industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct, supervise and coach maintenance staff effectively;
  • Identify and manage risk as required;
  • Ensure systems and processes are in place for the management of breakdowns;
  • Liaise with Client Representatives in a professional manner;
  • Coordinate the day to day recording of progress of works;
  • Health and safety conscious;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Mechanical trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualification;
  • Experience in mechanical installation and maintenance in a mining environment;
  • Proven experience with managing a large team of mechanical maintenance personnel;
  • Thorough understanding of inspections and maintenance scheduling;
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
