Dematic Pty Ltd, a world leader in integrated logistics and material handling, is seeking an experienced supervisor to join our AGV Customer Service team as an AGV Service Supervisor. This role reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Northern Region AGV Service team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Service Engineers and Field Service Technicians in the Northern Region to achieve customer satisfaction and growth
  • Coordinate the team's work schedules and assign work to ensure that contracted response times are met
  • Provide leadership, advice, coaching, and support to the AGV Service team to achieve performance objectives and promote a positive team environment and culture
  • Travel to customer sites to provide hands-on service and support for breakdowns, servicing, modifications, and spare part sales as required to meet client and project requirements
  • Prepare quotations and estimates for upgrades, changes, spare parts, installations, repairs, and customer support as required
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal parties
  • Identify opportunities to increase the level of support to existing customers and new business leads
  • Assist the Service Manager with working within budgets and towards targets
  • Conduct half-yearly and yearly performance reviews for each team member
  • Complete reporting and administration tasks as required
  • Monitor and maintain safe-working practices for the AGV service team and contract staff at all times
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation
  • Manage modernization projects in service as required, creating schedules, managing budget, and managing project team members for execution to specification

Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification or equivalent industrial engineering or maintenance experience, preferably with Robotics
  • Several years of experience working in a Customer Service environment
  • Previous management/supervisory experience
  • Project management experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to liaise with all levels of staff
  • Understanding of OH&S requirements
  • Understanding of financial outcomes and ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Availability and willingness to travel to customer sites predominantly in NSW and QLD but also throughout the greater APAC region when required
  • Minimum 3-5 years as supervisor or project manager
