Job Description

This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity for a Legal Officer to work in the Legislation and Government Law Unit (LGLU), located in the Commercial and Legislation Law branch of the Department's Legal Division. The LGLU provides advice and manages projects related to the department's legislative and regulatory agenda, governance, and responses to innovative policy initiatives.

The primary responsibility is to support the work of LGLU including the development, management, and implementation of legislative and regulatory projects, such as creating new or amending primary legislation, and drafting subordinate instruments like regulations, orders, or notices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree of Laws (or equivalent) or expected completion of the degree in 2025.
