Job Description

  • Undertake high-level research to understand and assess future architecture trends, identifying opportunities for technology to better support and enable business requirements.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their specialist requirements and capture their future thinking. Establish processes that maintain alignment between IT and business planning.
  • Develop enterprise technology roadmaps that bring diverse business requirements and operational requirements into a cohesive plan of initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain architectural artefacts that describe both current and future technology state.
  • Establish processes that promote Subject Matter Expert input from across the business and combat silo thinking.

Technology Governance

  • Advise operational team members on the lifecycle refresh of Critical Business applications and Operational Infrastructure to ensure they remain aligned with emerging technology advancements.
  • Champion the Technology Governance Board, ensuring adherence to architectural documentation standards and approval requirements.
  • Develop technology roadmaps, standards, and frameworks that guide stakeholders in implementing secure, robust, and high-performing technology systems.
  • Assist in identifying, managing, and mitigating IT-related risks that impact business activities.

Solutions Architecture

  • Manage Solution Architects, maintaining a high-performing team culture and providing Solution Architecture services to IT and business stakeholders.
  • Establish specialist vendor relationships to complement in-house team skill sets.
  • Ensure robust and effective processes are in place, resulting in high-quality outcomes by the Solutions Architecture function.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and leadership to the Solutions Architects to develop and mature the capability as needed.

Competitive Remuneration Package

We offer a highly competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus an annual bonus and flexible working arrangements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis, or equivalent experience.
  • 10-15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations.
  • Practitioner Certification in TOGAF or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience working as an enterprise architect in a complex organisation.
  • Extensive exposure to diverse technologies and processing environments.
