Legislative Proposal Development Specialist

The Implementation Team drives strategic execution of themes arising from the Independent Review of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.
You will provide expert advice on policy issues and lead legislative proposal development for policy initiatives.
Working closely with the Strategic Policy team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality strategic advice on government policy, legislation, budget, and cross-agency engagement.
You will identify potential risks and develop strategies to support business outcomes, leading the development of legislative proposals, complex reports, briefings, submissions, and departmental correspondence.
You will deliver presentations and reports to senior executives on policy and legislation initiatives across government, represent the department, and manage liaison with stakeholders.
You will conduct in-depth research and analysis of policy issues and legislative proposals, providing advice and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Additionally, you will build partnerships and networks with key stakeholders to meet organisational objectives.
