Preservation Specialist Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Preservation Specialist to lead our conservation efforts in a newly created position within the Collection Care Team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preservation and care of heritage collections in buildings undergoing extensive building work.

About the Role:

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance on conservation to major building infrastructure projects
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including Capital Works and Facilities teams
  • Manage programs and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

You will have a strong track record of preserving cultural heritage and managing teams to achieve results. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and ability to work under limited direction. The successful candidate must be able to conduct their work on-site, as permanent or long-term working from home arrangements are not available.
