Job Role: Governance DirectorKey Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and shaping the personnel security function for a federal government agency in Australia. This involves leading and maintaining comprehensive security frameworks aligned with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of PSPF guidelines and implementing them across the organization.
  • Developing and continuously improving security policies, awareness initiatives, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders from various departments, including ICT, Risk Management, Governance, HR, and executive functions.
Main Requirements

We are looking for a highly experienced personnel security specialist with a minimum of 5 years' experience and in-depth knowledge of PSPF and government security protocols. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated expertise in managing PSPF-aligned personnel security functions.

  • A strong policy development and risk governance capability.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-trust environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a NV1 clearance is required.
