About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team at Healthscope. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Teamwork: Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based, person-centered care.
  • Professional Practice: Demonstrate professional practice by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements, and Healthscope's policies and processes.
  • Education and Development: Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintain own professional learning and continuous professional development.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices.
  • External Partnerships: Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the healthcare continuum.
  • Customer Service: Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high-quality patient outcomes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Certification and Registration: Current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' Emergency Registered Nurse experience.
  • Education: Post Graduate Critical Care certificate (or working towards).
  • Compliance: Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Teaching and Education: Passion for teaching, educating, and up-skilling staff in cardiac operating theatres.
  • Certifications: ALS/PLS desirable.
