Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialist at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled nurse to make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide case management to a designated number of patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Lead and support Registered Psychiatric Nurses and Enrolled Nurses, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
- Coordinate and manage the shift to ensure the provision of high-quality patient-focused care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve this goal.
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) registration.
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in nursing which meets the registration requirements of AHPRA, Division 1 or 3, and a current Practicing Certificate.
- Post-registration qualification in a relevant area of specialty.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in mental health.
- Current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain.
