Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure project delivery team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies and materials to engage with community stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also possess a high degree of integrity and confidentiality, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement community engagement plans and strategies to support infrastructure projects.
  • Provide strategic communications advice and support to project directors and staff on community and stakeholder engagement, issues management, and risk assessment.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government officers, industry stakeholders, local business, and the general community.
  • Manage the preparation of executive correspondence and communications materials, including media statements and responses, ministerial briefings, and website content.
