Claims Management Role

The Claims Management Group is a vital component of an organization's strategic objectives, aimed at delivering a comprehensive and sustainable workers' compensation scheme. This group collaborates with employers and employees to identify strategies that facilitate early return-to-work or recovery at work.

The Claims Administration and Income Support team performs financial and client-facing services to support the claims business in managing claims transactions. This includes calculation and transactional processing of accounts payable and weekly incapacity benefits. The team also performs reconciliations of financial information across various sources, identifies anomalies, and addresses these within legislative and policy frameworks.

Overview of the Role

The Financial and Client Services Support Officer plays a crucial role in contributing to a range of financial and client service functions related to claims management.

The officer will be responsible for registering new claims, performing administrative tasks, including payment processing within required timeframes and compliant with set procedures, as well as accurate receipting and recording of records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Desirable: Experience working in a public sector context.

  • Six months probationary period for new engagements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
