Job Description

Role Overview

Frensham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design and Technology (TAS) Teacher to join our academic staff. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of inspiring students through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge, and a commitment to high performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Design and Technology (TAS) courses to students in Years 7-12, utilizing contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that challenge students to work creatively and develop authentic projects.
  • Utilize ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom.
  • Contribute to a team of professional educators, collaborating on curriculum development and implementation.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, meeting their social and emotional wellbeing needs.

Requirements

  • Qualifications and experience teaching Design and Technology (TAS) 7-12.
  • Demonstrated experience working with resistant materials and emerging technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of NESA curriculum, HSC assessment practices, and marking processes.
  • Ability to use computing code to work in the STEM area and/or willingness to develop these skills.
  • Commitment to the values and ethos of Frensham Schools.
