Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading health service to find experienced Registered Nurses to join their exceptional General/Vascular Surgery team.

The team admits a diverse range of general surgery and vascular patients, from emergency cases to elective procedures, encompassing varying levels of complexity. As a Level 6 service, they manage the most complex and highly specialized surgical procedures and complications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing general and vascular surgeries, including colorectal, breast, endocrine, and gynaecological surgeries.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage diseases of the venous, lymphatic, and arterial systems through medical management, interventional radiology, minimally invasive endovascular procedures, and open surgeries.
  • Support patients with minor and major amputations, ensuring comprehensive care and rehabilitation.
  • Work closely with the Stomal Therapy Department to deliver care management, post-operative review, education, and discharge planning for patients with new and complex stomas and fistulas.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive ward environment, fostering teamwork and professional development.
Selection Criteria
  • Current registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions
  • National Crime Check within the past 12 months
  • Experience in general and/or vascular surgery nursing is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Must have full Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship).
