We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Adult and Community Mental Health team. As a senior clinician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health services to consumers with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing, medical, and allied health staff in the management of consumers with complex mental health needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies, care guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives to improve consumer outcomes.
- Provide case management to a designated number of consumers with complex needs, including carer education and consultation with GPs, other service providers, and significant others.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on ongoing professional and career development, and working in a progressive and supportive team environment.
Appointment DetailsThis is a fixed-term, full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be required to meet the essential criteria, including registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possession of specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification.
Eligibility- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
- Extensive, relevant psychiatric nursing experience and/or credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse by the Australian and New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses Inc. or equivalent.
- Holds, or is working towards, relevant tertiary qualifications.
