Sustainability Role Overview

Job Description:

This position works in the bank's flagship sustainability program, NAB Ready Together. The team focuses on helping Australians withstand and recover from natural disasters.

The role involves coordinating and project managing the program, ensuring good communication and reporting flows across teams and with broader governance processes.

Responsibilities include supporting customers and colleagues impacted by natural disasters, as well as contributing to community partnership management across governance, reporting, colleague and partner engagement activities.

A key aspect of this role is reviewing and coordinating project plans for relevant activities and providing flexible assistance on other social impact priorities as needed.



Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification (Behavioural Science, Engineering, Commerce, Sustainability, Environmental Science, International Development or other relevant degree)
  • Professional experience in Corporate Sustainability, Community Development and/or Partnerships
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and advocacy skills
  • Strong ability to manage complex projects across multiple teams
  • Strategic planning and execution; and measurement and evaluation skills are desirable
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills (internal and external)
  • Subject matter expertise in community development, responding to natural disasters and building environmental and/or community resilience
