Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as a Sustainable Land Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing extension services to the agricultural sector to improve knowledge and uptake of climate-smart practices and facilitate the understanding of carbon and biodiversity markets.

About the Role
  • Work closely with farmers, land managers, farming systems groups, agri-business, industry bodies, and agencies to facilitate and implement workshops, events, and activities that promote sustainable farming outcomes.
  • Deliver on the LC Landscape Board's 2021-2026 priorities, particularly Educating and partnering to sustainably manage our landscapes and Growing sustainable primary production.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current minimum class C driver's licence and willingness to drive.
  • The ability to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • The flexibility to work some out-of-hours and intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home.

This is a full-time, term contract until 30 June 2028. The remuneration package includes an ASO5 salary of $85,790 - $95,413 max p.a.
