Job Description
\The Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator role is responsible for providing extension services to the agricultural sector. The goal is to improve knowledge and adoption of climate-smart practices and facilitate understanding of carbon and biodiversity markets.
\This position works closely with farmers, land managers, farming systems groups, agri-business, industry bodies, and agencies to deliver workshops, events, and activities that promote sustainable farming outcomes. These activities align with Australian Government objectives for sustainable agriculture and natural resource management.
\Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement effective extension strategies to support the adoption of climate-smart practices by farmers and land managers.\
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify and address barriers to the adoption of sustainable agriculture practices.\
- Facilitate workshops, events, and training programs to build capacity and knowledge among farmers, land managers, and other stakeholders.\
- Collaborate with industry partners to leverage resources and expertise in support of sustainable agriculture initiatives.\
- Maintain accurate records and reports on project activities, progress, and outcomes.\
- Contribute to the development of policy and program initiatives that support sustainable agriculture and natural resource management.\
- Engage with communities and stakeholders to raise awareness and promote the benefits of sustainable agriculture practices.\
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in sustainable agriculture practices and develop strategies to address them.\
- Promote and advocate for sustainable agriculture practices and policies at local, state, and national levels.\
