Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to lead our Infrastructure Team. The successful applicant will play a critical role in ensuring our networks are secure, stable, resilient, and reliable.

The IT team is responsible for the effective development and security of our IT systems and cloud services. As a Network Engineer, you will have the opportunity to further enhance your skills and work collaboratively with other teams.

Key Duties:
  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of network infrastructure projects, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud networking solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to improve network performance, security, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standards.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve network issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex network problems, including connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and security breaches.
  • Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patching, and configuration backups.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent networking certification(s).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a proven track record of success across large scale networks, on a mix of on premise, mobile compute, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience integrating networks in a virtualised environment, preferably VMware.
  • Provisioning and management of network infrastructure using code and automation
  • Deep understanding and a demonstrated track record on network layer security concerns and mitigations.
  • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine interest in improving systems.
