**About the Role**

  • We are looking for an exceptional professional to strategically plan and deliver programs of work, manage data engineering workloads, analytics products, and solutions, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project outcomes.
  • The ideal candidate will lead technical consulting services, mentor Data Engineers and QA Engineers, and promote business improvement and process optimization to maximize resource investments.
  • This pivotal role oversees multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring service reliability and technical excellence.
  • The selected individual will manage and enhance critical data engineering workloads through comprehensive work planning and execution.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders is key to developing innovative business strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • The successful candidate will build and maintain operational networks, provide expert advice across the agency and government, and promote workplace safety.

**About You**

  • You will provide expert advice on data engineering and architecture, supporting projects and strategic goals.
  • Promoting and improving the department's data analytics capabilities is a key aspect of this role.
  • Clear, professional communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement at all levels are essential skills for success.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and operational teams is crucial for effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with government policies, data security, cloud computing, data warehousing, and agile project management is necessary.
  • You should be aware of government processes, including WHS, Equal Opportunity, records management, and procurement.
  • A Working with Children Check is required for this position.
