We are seeking an experienced full-time civil engineering designer to join our team. As a civil engineer designer, you will work closely with our engineers to create innovative and practical designs for civil engineering projects, focusing on light gauge steel, residential, and light commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and test solutions for civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry regulations.
  2. Produce detailed documentation, including sketches, charts, and basic designs, for commercial and residential construction projects.
  3. Draft plans and technical drawings for civil engineering works, such as drainage, water supply, sewerage systems, and structural elements, using AutoCAD software.
  4. Manage project timelines and resources, maintaining and recording timesheets for civil projects to ensure adherence to project schedules.
  5. Prepare detailed construction designs for residential and commercial civil projects, incorporating efficient and economical design principles.
  6. Create technical charts for systems like drainage, water supply, and sewerage, in line with project specifications for residential and commercial developments.
  7. Review and amend structural drawings as necessary to meet client requirements and comply with industry regulations.
  8. Assist senior civil engineers by evaluating execution drawings and providing solutions for any issues encountered during construction.
  9. Supervise the preparation of as-built drawings and oversee the construction process in accordance with design plans, under the guidance of senior civil engineers.
  10. Conduct site surveys and prepare reports, including collecting data and analyzing results, to inform project designs and decisions.

Requirements:

  • High competency with AutoCad and all Microsoft Office suites.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the construction environment.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
