Rouse Hill High School, a leading educational institution in Sydney's North West Region, seeks an exceptional Instructional Librarian and Learning Strategist to join its teaching community.

As a key member of the school's learning support team, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering innovative library programs that foster critical thinking, creativity, and digital literacy among students.

The successful applicant will possess a strong background in education, with expertise in curriculum design, pedagogy, and instructional technology. They will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, teachers, parents, and the wider community.

The salary for this position is estimated at up to $134,570 per annum, inclusive of base salary ranging from $75,791 to $120,322, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality library programs that align with the school's curriculum and learning goals;
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop innovative learning experiences that promote critical thinking, creativity, and digital literacy;
  • Manage and maintain the school's library resources, including physical and digital collections;
  • Provide guidance and support to students on research skills, information literacy, and online safety;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and library usage.

Requirements:

  • Approved to teach secondary library or currently undertaking/undertaking/enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to create innovative learning experiences;
  • Demonstrated innovation in managing and implementing a stimulating library learning environment;
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community;
  • An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
