Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role

  • Evaluate and implement efficient quality control processes to ensure timely release and disposition of raw materials at a manufacturing site.
  • Verify that raw materials meet specifications and supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are in place.
  • Develop and update interim specifications for raw materials as required, collaborating with relevant personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of raw material traceability within and post-manufacturing facilities.
  • Document and report non-conforming raw materials and packaging through established channels.
  • Establish and update necessary procedures, work instructions, forms, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to raw materials.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, addressing any corrective actions required.
  • Support manufacturing teams with Quality and Food Safety issues, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate actively in relevant meetings, including HACCP team activities and production quality discussions.

About You

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety principles and practices is essential.
  • Previous experience in Food Manufacturing Food Safety & Quality is desirable.
  • Food Science qualifications are also desirable.
