Culinary Expert

Join us as a skilled Culinary Expert and contribute to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in planning and preparing nutritious meals that meet the diverse needs of our residents.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all meals are prepared in line with care plans, nutritional guidelines, and relevant legislation. This includes working closely with our clinical leadership team to review resident dietary requirements and implement appropriate interventions.

You will be accountable for maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to our National Food Safety Program at all times. Additionally, you will supervise your team effectively, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service delivery.

1. Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs, including special dietary requirements and culturally specific requests.
2. Support the delivery of excellent customer service by serving nutritious meals in a well-presented manner and at the right temperature.
3. Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
4. Collaborate with our clinical leadership team to review and update resident care plans.
5. Supervise your team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective outcomes.

• Demonstrated knowledge of IDDSI and nutritional guidelines.
• Ability to cook meals in line with planned menus.
• Completion of HLTFSE001 – Follow Basic Food Safety Practices or willingness to obtain.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
• Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial kitchen equipment.
