About Project Bluebird

Be part of something extraordinary

With a multi-million-dollar investment from George Weston Foods, Mauri is building a brand new, state-of-the-art flour mill in Ballarat. We're looking for passionate, creative individuals to help commission and bring this site to life.

Working with $45 million worth of cutting-edge Swiss milling technology, this is a rare opportunity to join a site from the very beginning. You'll contribute to an environment that sets new standards in systems, data, and process optimisation and play a key role in embedding efficient, scalable operations from day one.

This is your chance to make a lasting impact and shape the future of flour milling in Australia. We're inviting you to build deep knowledge of a site from the ground up and be part of a team that's feeding the nation sustainably.

About the Role

As Quality Manager, you'll be instrumental in designing and optimising the quality strategy for our new Ballarat site, playing a key role in setting up control systems and processes that will define how the site runs for years to come

In this role you'll work with advanced equipment and strong data capabilities to ensure product consistency and integrity throughout the entire production process. This is a unique opportunity to shape how quality is managed in a modern, high-tech environment, with plenty of room to innovate from the ground up.

The suitable candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology, Science, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field

  • Experience in a high-volume food manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of quality systems, compliance standards and risk management

  • A hands-on approach to quality, with the ability to work across QA and QC functions

  • Comfort with data and digital tools, including quality management systems and a keen interest in automation and streamlining processes

  • A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams
