Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical leader who can drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux systems administration, software development, and cloud computing. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Web Services infrastructure, as well as leading small-scale projects from inception to implementation.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can influence architecture and implementation of solutions within the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement platform-wide solutions with technical leadership during implementation
  • Drive continuous improvement and lead ongoing improvements in reliability and scalability
  • Influence architecture and implementation of solutions within the division
  • Mentor junior SRE staff and enable them for success
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years working experience in Software Development and/or Linux Systems Administration role
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Development experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Bash, Go, Java, C++, or Rust
  • Experience with distributed data storage at scale (Hadoop, Ceph), data aggregation technologies (Elasticsearch, Kafka), scaling and running traditional RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL) with High Availability
Skills & Knowledge
  • Proficient as a Linux Production Systems Engineer with experience managing large-scale Web Services infrastructure
  • Knowledge of software performance analysis and load testing, QA or SDET experience a plus
