Strategic Academic Leader

This senior leadership position drives the vision and direction of academic excellence in a dynamic school setting.


The successful candidate will lead strategic and operational initiatives related to curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, and academic performance across the whole school. With a forward-thinking approach to education, they will support a culture of innovation, drive whole-school academic strategy, and sustain continuous improvement.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing visionary academic leadership and working collaboratively with key leaders to ensure cohesive, student-centred learning that enables students and staff to thrive.
  • Supporting a culture of innovation, driving whole-school academic strategy, and sustaining continuous improvement.
  • Leading strategic and operational initiatives related to curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, and academic performance across the whole school.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Experience in a senior academic leadership role, preferably in an independent or Anglican school setting.
  • Experience leading whole-school academic strategy, with deep understanding of curriculum design, contemporary pedagogy, and assessment frameworks.
  • A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
