Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) management system on the project. This will involve maintaining compliance with legal, client, and regulatory requirements, as well as providing guidance on effective HSSE risk management.

The successful candidate will also ensure that the project HSSE plan is fully communicated to all construction staff and implemented, including leading and lagging indicators and emergency response preparedness plans. Additionally, they will support the project HSSE manager in conducting internal audits to assure compliance with the HSSE management system and international standards.

  • Maintain and ensure compliance with the HSSE Management system on the project in line with Legal, client and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance on effective HSSE risk management on the project.
  • Ensure the Project HSSE plan is fully communicated to all Construction staff and implemented.
  • Implement the Project leading and lagging indicators and monitor the performance regularly.
  • Ensure the emergency response preparedness plan is fully implemented and drills for identified potential emergency situations are performed in accordance with the agreed schedule.
  • Support the Project HSSE Manager where required to Conduct internal audits to assure compliance with the HSSE Management system and the international standards (ISO 14001, 45001).
  • Ensure HSSE Communications and consultation is implemented in accordance with the project requirements.
  • Support the Project HSSE Manager to report and investigate all incidents in a timely manner on the incident reporting portal.
  • Ensure employees are trained in the respective HSSE training plan for the project.
  • Ensure work area environment is maintained safe through the pro-active enforcement of HSSE rules and regulations. Consult with Construction management to ensure good, safe and healthy work atmosphere.
