Job Opportunity: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for stewarding the business unit execution of the Contractor Operational Excellence Management (COEM) process and conducting business partner field engagements.

The successful candidate will have experience in human and organisational performance, minimum Certificate IV in Workplace, Health, and Safety, and minimum 3-5 years in a similar role with field experience. They will also possess strong influencing skills, ability to manage / influence multiple levels of leadership, work team members, and business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain HSE Support, including Incident Investigation & Reporting, Risk Management, Managing Safe Work and Human Performance
  • Maintain emergency response readiness and dangerous good compliance
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Safeguard Assurance
  • Coaching, Training, and Inductions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in human and organisational performance
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace, Health, and Safety
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a similar role with field experience
  • Working experience as of AS1940 - Storage and handling of flammable and combustible goods
  • Knowledge of the Australian dangerous goods code
  • Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised
