About the Role

Uniting's Research and Social Policy team is seeking a Researcher to join our team on a full-time ongoing basis. As a Researcher, you will play a key role in informing practice improvement, innovation, and advocacy within our Social Impact and Advocacy directorate.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in qualitative research, with experience in conducting consultations in applied contexts. You will have a firm commitment to social justice and a passion for research relating to Aboriginal people and communities.

You will be responsible for day-to-day management of our large suite of external research projects, working closely with our Principal Researchers to refine your qualitative and quantitative research skills. You will also lead the team's contribution to projects involving codesign and consultation with Aboriginal people and communities in NSW and the ACT.

This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging researcher to gain experience and develop their skills in a practical environment. If you are passionate about social justice and have a strong research background, we encourage you to apply.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations of external research projects
  • Work closely with Principal Researchers to develop research skills
  • Lead team's contribution to codesign and consultation projects
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with practitioners, policy makers, and academics
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced researcher who is passionate about social justice and has a strong background in qualitative research. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of their Aboriginality, as this is an identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
