Urgent Care Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Urgent Care Nurse to join our team in Narre Warren.


About the Role

This is an opportunity to work as a Full-Time Urgent Care Nurse in our service. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting thorough assessments, and collaborating with medical practitioners to ensure the best possible outcomes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients presenting to Urgent Care.
  • Triage patients promptly and provide front-line care in collaboration with the Urgent Care medical practitioner.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in the dynamic Urgent Care environment.
  • Provide person-centred care activities relating to patients' injuries or illnesses in collaboration with family, carers, and medical practitioners.
  • Ensure patients receive desired clinical outcomes.
  • Provide health education to patients as required.

Requirements
  • AHPRA Registered Nurse.
  • Previous experience in triage in an emergency department, preferably 1 year minimum.
  • 5 years' experience preferred.
  • Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written and a high level of critical thinking.
  • Can work autonomously and delegate when appropriate.
  • A passion for people with a personable approach.
