Urgent Care Practice Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Urgent Care Practice Nurse to join our team in Narre Warren. The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.


The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and results-driven individual to work collaboratively with our medical practitioners to ensure all patients receive prompt and effective triage and care. The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of patients presenting to the Urgent Care Service.
  • Triage patients promptly and accurately, taking appropriate action for those requiring escalation due to emergency presentations or deterioration of illness or injury.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to the dynamic nature of the Urgent Care environment.

Requirements
  • AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • Previous experience in triage in an emergency department, preferably 1 year minimum
  • 5 years' experience preferred
  • Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written and a high level of critical thinking
