Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at ABC Laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Preparation and Analysis: Prepare and analyze samples in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document results and maintain laboratory records.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Follow quality assurance/quality control procedures to ensure the validity and reliability of results.
  • Communication: Communicate results to the Laboratory Manager and other stakeholders as required.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques: Possess a Certificate IV in laboratory techniques.
  • Experience in Laboratory Setting: Have at least 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Laboratory Equipment Experience: Experience working with laboratory equipment and instruments, including centrifuges, microscopes, and spectrophotometers.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Laboratory Safety: Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and experience following established procedures.
