Job Description

This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals with intellectual impairments, mental health and/or physical disabilities. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team, supporting customers in their homes and communities.

The Disability Support Worker is responsible for assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care, administering medication, and manual handling. They must also be able to adapt to different situations and individuals, using creative problem-solving skills to achieve the best outcomes.

  • Support individuals of all ages with intellectual impairments, mental health and/or physical disabilities.
  • Provide one-on-one support with daily living tasks.
  • Assist with personal care, medications, and manual handling.

Mandatory Requirements
  1. Minimum Cert III or higher in relevant field.
  2. 12+ months PAID experience working in a similar role.
  3. QLD PAID Blue Card/ Working with Children Check.
  4. PAID (P) NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  5. Current First Aid Certificate.
  6. Current CPR Certificate.
  7. 100 points of ID including evidence of work rights in Australia.
  8. Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
  9. COVID Vaccinated (2 doses).
  10. Unrestricted Open QLD Driver Licence.
  11. Own reliable transport for work.
  12. Full Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  13. Smartphone (iOS or Android).
