Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire procurement process, from purchasing orders and LCs to clearance of goods and receipting.

This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customs agents, freight forwarders, and AQIS to ensure compliance and a smooth process.

Additionally, you will assist sales and warehouse teams with product purchasing, planning, forecasting, and shipment schedules.

You will be responsible for performing sales analysis and inventory control to avoid stockouts and provide recommendations on purchase order quantities.

Maintenance of safety stock levels and reporting on purchasing and inventory usage are also key aspects of this role.

Import/export coordination, liaison with customs agents and suppliers, and monitoring of shipment ETA's are other important responsibilities.

Compliance with food safety regulations and coaching managers/employees about food safety practices are also required.

You will also be responsible for general administrative duties, including filing, updating customs records, preparing correspondence, and inputting information into computer databases.
