Procurement and Supply Chain Manager

This role involves overseeing the procurement process, ensuring compliance, value for money, and strong supplier partnerships. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing purchase requisitions and orders, inviting and assessing supplier tenders, negotiating contract terms and conditions, and preparing purchasing records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process purchase requisitions and orders within delegated purchasing authority, maintaining accurate records of transactions and communications with suppliers.
  • Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals, utilizing negotiation skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Negotiate and establish contract terms and conditions, maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports, and price lists, providing insights into market trends and supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify procurement needs, quality standards, and delivery requirements, fostering a culture of cooperation and innovation.
About You:
  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management within a government or large corporate environment, demonstrating expertise in sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering, supplier engagement, and contract administration, including market research, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
