Pathology Collector Job Description

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Pathology Collector. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting samples with care and attention, keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample, and preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all patient interactions and sample collection
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for laboratory analysis
Requirements:
  • Highly empathetic and effective communication skills
  • Experience in Phlebotomy or equivalent qualification
  • Vaccine preventable disease evidence (e.g. Hepatitis B and COVID-19)

As a Pathology Collector, you will have the opportunity to work independently in a solo clinic, requiring strong time management, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

The successful candidate will also receive comprehensive training upon commencement.
